For Administrators:

How to Set Up Kiosk Mode:

  1. Log in to your ToolWorks account and navigate to the Checkout screen.
  2. Locate the Kiosk Mode Lock icon (typically represented by a lock symbol) in top right corner below Search field, next to Location selector.
  3. Click on the Kiosk Mode Lock icon to enable Kiosk Mode.
  4. Enter a unique lock code of your choice (this code will be used to exit Kiosk Mode later).
  5. Once the lock code is entered, the app's user interface will change to display only the "Checkout" and "Check In" buttons, indicating that Kiosk Mode is active.
  6. Optional: Customize the location by pre-selecting a location from the picker before turing on Kiosk mode.

How to Exit Kiosk Mode:

  1. While in Kiosk Mode, locate the Kiosk Mode Lock icon (typically represented by an unlocked lock symbol).
  2. Click on the Kiosk Mode Lock icon.
  3. Enter the same lock code you used to enable Kiosk Mode.
  4. The app will exit Kiosk Mode and return to its full functionality.

For Employees:

How to Checkout Tools in Kiosk Mode:

  1. Approach the designated kiosk or tablet running ToolWorks in Kiosk Mode.
  2. Tap the Checkout button on the screen.
  3. Scan your employee badge to identify yourself. You can also utilize ToolWorks app to scan your employee badge using Profile Screen.
  4. Once identified, tap Add Tools to scan the barcodes of the tools you need to check out.
  5. Scan the barcode of each tool you require. The app will display the tool information and confirm that it has been added to your checkout list.
  6. After scanning all the necessary tools, review the checkout list to ensure accuracy.
  7. Tap the Checkout button to finalize the process.
  8. The app will confirm the successful checkout, and the tool assignments will be updated in the inventory.

How to Check In Tools in Kiosk Mode:

  1. Approach the designated kiosk or tablet running ToolWorks in Kiosk Mode.
  2. Tap the Check In button on the screen.
  3. Scan your employee badge to identify yourself. You can also utilize ToolWorks app to scan your employee badge using Profile Screen.
  4. Once identified, tap Add Tools to scan the barcodes of the tools you need to check in.
  5. Scan the barcode of each tool you are returning.
  6. For each scanned tool, the app will provide options to mark its condition as "Okay," "Needing Repair," or "Damaged."
  7. Select the appropriate condition for each tool.
  8. After scanning and marking the condition of all tools, review the check-in list to ensure accuracy.
  9. Tap the Check In button to finalize the process.
  10. The app will confirm the successful check-in, and the tool status will be updated in the inventory accordingly.
