  • What types of assets are supported?
    We support four types of assets

    Tools

    Tracked individually with a unique ID (barcode or serial number or asset tag). Assigned to user for long term use and user is required to return them.

    Equipments

    Tracked individually with a unique ID (barcode or serial number or asset tag). Reserver for a fixed duration and user is required to return them at the end of reserved time.

    Bulk Items

    Tracked in group by quantity using same barcode/qr code like shovels, chairs, etc. They are assigned to user for long term use and user is required to return them. Main difference from Tools is that you have lots of items and they are not that valuable to be tracked individually.

    Consumables/Materials

    Tracked in group by quantity using same barcode/qr code. They are assigned to user and expected to be used up over period of time. They are not expected to be returned, but surplus can be returned.
  • What are virtual users?
    Virtual users are employees that do not need to sign-in, but you still want to track asset assignments to them.
  • How does the free trial work?
    Try ToolWorks free for a limited time with no commitment. No credit card is required to start a trial. You’ll have access to all features and can ask us any questions along the way. Free onboarding is included to help you get up and running quickly. At the end of the trial, you will need to add payment information or be invoiced to continue using ToolWorks.
  • Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
    There are no long-term contracts associated with your monthly subscription. If you’d like to save on your subscription cost, we offer the option to pay annually, or you can sign a multi-year agreement to lock in additional discounts.
  • Is there anything to download or install?
    No, ToolWorks is web-based and runs in the cloud. Application works in all major, modern web browsers. Specifically, we support Chrome 22 and higher, Firefox 43 and higher, Safari 5.1 and higher, and Microsoft Edge 40 and higher.

    You can cancel your subscription at any time, however we regret that we are unable to refund any unused portion of prepaid subscriptions (e.g. if you cancel at the start of the month, we will stop the next payment run, but cannot refund the remaining month subscription - sorry).
