Tool Kit Management

Tool Kits are special type of tools that contain or group other tools, acting as tool boxes designed for specific purposes. Kits can be used to track large Knaack boxes, wilding kits, scaffolding, rigging box, concrete box, safety box, etc.

Tools, Equipments, Bulk(Quantity items) and Consumables (materials) can be added to Kits. However, a kit cannot contain another kit. Kits can be transferred from one site to another site and can be also be checked out to a user.

Kit Management feature is available for Professional and higher plans.

How to Create a Kit

Adding Kit Tool is similar to adding any other tool, you can use Snap To Add (using AI) or manually add tool details. To indicate that tool is a Kit, Check the Is Kit checkbox. This marks the tool as a Kit and enables you to add tools to it.

How to define what tools are part of a Kit

Kit Definition

You can use a bundle/picklist to define what tools are part of a kit. This helps you ensure that kit is complete as per defined picklist. It also helps to identify missing tools when kit is returned from checkout. To add bundle/picklist to a kit, navigate to Kit Part details page (folder), select Kit Definition to select a bundle. Once bundle is added to kit, you can easily identify missing tools when kit is returned from checkout. On the Kit details page, select Kit Tools tab, you will see a warning icon next to missing tools that are part of the bundle/picklist definition.
