Help

User

User shows list of users and allows for adding new user and modify existing users.

Security

You must has Administer Users right to perform this action.

Add User

  1. From Users tab, click Invite User
  2. Enter User Details
  3. Modify User Permissions as required
  4. Click Invite, this will send email to user with a login link where they can set their password and login. Alternatively, you can provide user with auto generated Temporary Password to login and request to change password after login.

Edit User

  1. From Users tab, search/find user and click User Name (or Pencil icon)
  2. Modify User Details and/or Permissions as required
  3. Click Save to persist changes.

Additional Actions

  • Delete: Click 'Delete' to delete an existing user.

Note: You might not be able to delete user if they had activity in the past. Please instead make user inactive.

User Tools

  1. From Users tab, find user and click Tools
  2. A new view showing all tools and equipments that user has in their custody is shown.

Location Based Access

Users only have access to tools and equipment from the assigned location/tool store. By default, all users have access to all locations. You can change this by changing the rights for a roles. Navigate to Settings. [shift-ctrl-s] and click Roles to view list of role. Click any of role to see assigned rights.

There are two rights that grant user access to additional locations:

  • Access To All Stores (default)
  • Access To Child Stores (Enterprise feature)

Locations have a built-in hierarchy. This hierarchy can be used to restrict user access to specific locations. With the right Access To All Child Stores, user will have access to assigned store and all child stores. This can be effectively used for managing Project based access. Create a location for each project and child location for tool cribs. Remove the default Access To All Stores from User and assign Access To Child Stores to tool store staff, manager and other project Admins. You can also create custom roles based on project requirements.

Bulk Upload

With Bulk upload of users, you can quickly import and add users. You will need to upload a CSV file with the following columns:
