Fuel Logs

Fuel logs are an essential tool for managing and tracking fuel consumption within a fleet. ToolWorks provides a comprehensive fuel log feature that allows you to record fuel purchases, upload receipts, and monitor fuel economy for each vehicle in your fleet.

Add a Fuel Log Entry

Fastest way to add a fuel log entry is from the dashboard. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard in ToolWorks.
  2. Click on the Log Fuel button for the assigned vehicle.
  3. Take a photo of the fuel receipt using your device’s camera.
  4. Confirm the details and fill in the required information such as odometer reading.
  5. Click Add to add the fuel log entry.

Alternatively, you can add a fuel log entry from the fuel logs page:

  1. Go to the Fuel Logs section in ToolWorks.
  2. Click on the + Add Fuel Log button.
  3. Upload a photo of the fuel receipt.
  4. Confirm the receipt details and fill in the required information such as vehicle and odometer reading.
  5. Click Add to save the fuel log entry.

If you don't have a receipt photo, you can manually enter the fuel log details by clicking on the Add Manually option when adding a fuel log.

You can also log fuel from the Vehicles page by adding vehicle to cart and using the Log Fuel option in the cart menu.

View and Manage Fuel Logs

To view and manage fuel logs:

  1. Navigate to the Fuel Logs section in ToolWorks.
  2. Here, you will see a list of all fuel log entries for your fleet. You can filter and sort the entries based on various criteria such as date, vehicle, and fuel type.

Edit a Fuel Log Entry

To edit a fuel log entry:

  1. Locate the fuel log entry you want to edit in the fuel logs list.
  2. Click on the entry to open the details view.
  3. Update the necessary information such as fuel amount, cost, or odometer reading.
  4. Click Save to apply the changes.

Delete a Fuel Log Entry

To delete a fuel log entry:

  1. Find the fuel log entry you wish to delete in the fuel logs list.
  2. Click on the entry to open the details view.
  3. Click the Delete button.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
