Self Checkout

Self Checkout allows users checkout tools from store without going through the formal request and fulfillment process.

Security

  • In order to self checkout tools, user must have the Self Checkout right.
  • Self checkout is ONLY supported by locations that have Scan And Go enabled.

How to Self Checkout on Desktop/Mobile

  1. Navigate to Tools tab
  2. Find tools and click Add To Cart
  3. In the cart, click Request, and click Checkout to checkout tools.

Self Checkout using AI Assistant

  1. Launch Assistant by click AI Assistant on top bar or [⊞/⌘ + A]
  2. Chat with Assistant, message something like Self Checkout and enter barcodes of tools you want to self checkout.
  3. Assistant will checkout tools for you!

Self Checkout using Mobile Scanner

  1. Navigate to Scan tab
  2. Scan tools that you want to checkout
  3. In the cart, click Request, and click Checkout to checkout tools.

Difference between Self Checkout and Create Request

With Create Request, users are requesting tools from field. Tool Store is responsible for fulfilling the request and notifying when tools are ready to be picked up. It is also useful when a user wants to reserve tools for future use. Request/Fulfillment is more formal process and allows admin to control the flow of tools.

Self Checkout allows users checkout tools from store without going through the formal request and fulfillment process. Assumption is that user is already at store, can self select tools and check them out. Self Checkout allows admin to run tool store on Auto Pilot, with no need for formal supervision.
