Settings

Settings allow you to configure and customize ToolWorks to meet your needs. You can manage the following:

• Configuration
• Roles
• Report Access
• Custom Field
• Account

Configuration

Configure various systems options and fine tune system behavior to meet your specific needs. You can configure the following:

• Date Format
• Auto Generate Order Number
• Auto Generate Transfer Number
• Auto Generate Purchase Order Number
• Month when Fiscal Year starts
• GPS Location Tracking
• Default Price Currency
• Barcode Generator

And more.

Roles

Add, edit, and manage user roles to control access permissions. You can assign roles to users, and customize the rights for each role.

Report Access

Report access allows you to configure access to reports based on user roles. You can assign reports to specific roles and control which reports can be accessed by each role.

1. To configure report access, navigate to the Settings page. [shift-ctrl-s] and click Report Access.
2. You will be presented with a list of roles. Select the role you want to configure report access for.
3. List of available reports will be displayed. Check the box next to the report you want to grant access to the role.
4. Click Update to save your changes.

Custom Field

You can create and manage custom fields for ToolWorks. These fields can be used to add additional information to tool catalog/group (common properties for a group of tools), tool inventory(individual tools) and users.

To manage custom fields:

1. Navigate to the Settings page and click Custom Field.
2. Select Module you want to manage custom fields for.
3. Click the Add Field button to create a new custom field.
4. Enter the field name, select the field type (e.g., text, number, date), and configure any additional options.
5. Click Add to add the custom field.

Custom fields can be assigned to tool catalog/group, tool inventory and users, allowing you to capture and track additional data specific to your needs.

In addition to custom fields, you can also add context specific custom fields based on Category. These fields will apply to all tools under a specific category.Lear More

Account

You can manage your account settings, such as company display name, logo, list of owners, as well as manage the subscription.
